On first inspection this MOT station site, on a compact (0.1 acre) corner plot in a conservation area just south of the Thames, appears to offer limited development scope, but our in-house design team were able to achieve a very dense and valuable consent thanks to clever design and careful negotiation with the local authority.
The site’s redevelopment involves the constr-
uction of 2,500 sq. ft. of offices, a block of flats and a terrace of family houses,
generating a very high density of 850 habitable rooms per hectare.
Thanks to it’s proximity to the Houses of Parliament (within reach of the division bell), it’s excellent transport links and it’s location on Fentiman Road - the prime road in the St Luke’s conservation area – the scheme has set new benchmarks for values and design quality for this increasingly sought after neighbourhood.
