Sustainability

We ensure the buildings we design meet and exceed rules and regulations for energy use through optimum use of daylight, optimum use of natural ventilation where possible, minimisation of unwanted solar gain in warm weather and minimisation of heat loss and maximisation of the benefits of solar and internal gains in cold weather.

When we build, we aim to protect existing local ecology and encourage new bio diversity, following the advice of specialist consultancies in this field who help us to limit the impact of our construction activity and then assist us in ensuring our landscaping proposals make the most hospitable possible environments for native flora and fauna.

In terms of our everyday business activities, the company is working towards carbon-neutrality through a variety of initiatives, including benchmarking based on Carbon Trust guidelines, the use of low emission vehicles and public transport for site visits and the adoption of low-energy technologies wherever possible.

We encourage our partners and consultants to adopt the same approach to their own activities.
