While new developments can sometimes be a daunting prospect for near neighbours, we believe that, well handled, they are an opportunity to enrich and improve lives and communities. We try to ensure that, wherever we build, we maximise our schemes’ potential to benefit their surroundings. Environmental improvements, measures to encourage local wildlife, careful restoration of neglected but
valued buildings can all make a
positive contribution.
Our schemes are designed to be as neighbourly as possible, carefully observing standards that protect neighbours’ privacy, sunlight and daylight and amenity; we keep neighbouring residents informed of our plans and we consult with them as much as possible, so that we know about their concerns and
address them wherever we can; and when we build, we commit to a code of practice that minimises construction traffic and noise.
We’re proud that our developments often play an important role in urban renewal, indeed regeneration and community benefit are at the heart of our development vision.
